JOB PURPOSE:
“Make the Connection” to greet and seat arriving guests in a timely manner. This position is responsible to interact with and support guests/fellow team members in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner. Most of all, display superb Teamwork skills to contribute to a positive work environment through our Core Values.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Enhance the guest experience, making them feel welcome with friendly, helpful, and respectful attitude.
- Function as a host for the restaurant to greet, seat guests and answer phones.
- Support to process “to go” orders and transactions for guests; Protect the Brand by certifying presentation and quality of products.
- Pack food items, roll silverware, make coffee, fill beverage cups and assist to clear dishes.
- Maintain clean/orderly lobby, checkout, marketplace and bathroom areas; stock shelves and pie cases, empty trash receptacles and restock supplies as needed.
- Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the Polly’s Brand, menu, current promotions; able to educate guests on menu items and identify ingredients.
- Commitment to maintain PCI compliance standards with operation of credit card machines and point of sale system.
- Responsible to follow proper cash handling policies and procedures at all times. Manage assigned register, process credit card/cash payments, make change and issue guest transaction receipts appropriately.
- Serve as support to baker helping to perform oven duties, prep, pack and store bake items, this includes assist with bake preparation such as tray arrangements for next day.
- Promote Polly’s culture, teamwork and encourage the success of fellow team members.
- Adheres to company standards, policies and procedures.
- Passion, Pride and Protection in everything you do by utilizing proper tools, equipment and procedures in accordance with health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and respectfully with fellow team members and Manager-level leaders.
- Must be dependable to work flexible schedule; Morning, mid-day, nights, weekends and holidays
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Outstanding guest service skills and ability to ensure a guest priority culture
- Ability to communicate with ease and clarity, good organization skills
- Accuracy and honesty of handling revenues and aspects of the revenue control system
- Exceptional math and analytical skills
- Strong work ethic, ability to act on and solve minor problems in courteous manner as needed
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a service oriented environment
- Valid food handlers card (if required by county)
